The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is designed for individuals who are responsible for the delivery of training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The previous Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40110) has been superseded by the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
This qualification applies to people for whom training is a large part of their job, or a full job function within a structured assessment and training system. These people have extensive knowledge and skills in a particular subject and will have the responsibility for training program development and delivery as well as assessment of training.
The course outlines the skills you need to plan and deliver training sessions to groups and individuals, while also providing you with the knowledge necessary to assess their effectiveness. This intensive program is designed for those wishing to commence training and/or assessment practices and training management in a range of government or non‐government enterprises, or for experienced practitioners for ongoing professional development and career development

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 qualification is flexible in the amount of time it will take to complete. Any recognition of prior learning will shorten the length of the course.

As the program is competency based, competency is achieved through providing evidence of competency. You will be assessed against the performance criteria of each of the Units of Competence.

Entry Requirements & Fees
There are no prerequisite or entry requirements for individual units of competency.
After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake Diploma of Training and
Assessment TAE50116 or higher level training qualifications.
Fees will depend on any recognition of prior learning, government support/subsidies etc. This information be discussed at initial interview and made clear to client at time of enrolment.
